Taking Maui Volcano Helicopter Tours

With Sunshine Helicopters, visitors can enjoy volcano helicopter tours while in Maui, offering helicopter tours of Maui, Molokai, and The Big Island (Hawaii.)

Depending on the tour you choose, you'll see fantastic views of both erupting and dormant volcanoes including Haleakala National Park in Maui, and Volcano National Park in Hawaii. You'll also see canopy tropical rainforests and green valleys, sea cliffs, coasts, waterfalls, and more.

In Maui particularly, you'll see Kapalua, Kaanapali, Old Lahaina Town, Hana Town, Seven Pools, Upcountry, Ho'okipa, Lindbergh's resting place, sugarcane and pineapple fields, and more.

On the approximate 30-minute West Maui Deluxe Tour, you'll soar over the West Maui Mountains and, if weather permits, you'll also see the "Wall of Tears" which has over 17 waterfalls flowing simultaneously, including Maui's tallest waterfall Honokohau Falls, which is over 1,000 feet tall! In addition, you'll enjoy great views of Launiupoko and Ukumehame valleys, and you'll see Old Lahaina Town and the resorts of Ka'anapali and Kapalua.

For a longer touring experience, choose the Hana/Haleakala Special Tour, a 40-50 minute adventure that will take you to Haleakala's crater, through the most remote areas of Maui to see Hana Town, the Seven Pools, coastline and waterfalls, and the well-known Ho'okipa windsurfing beach.

If you'd like your tour to consist of more than flying in a helicopter, consider taking a Maui combination tour.

On the Helicopter Tour & Paniolo Horeback Ride Combo, you'll begin your tour at the 1,000 foot level Mendes Range. You'll then get on your horse and ride through mountainsides, viewing the waterfalls of Waihee Valley. Then, you'll enjoy views from the sky, seeing the West Maui Mountains and waterfalls. And you'll also enjoy a cowboy BBQ lunch on this approximate 30-minute tour.

For a different experience, submerge yourself in water and soar through the sky on the West Maui Helicopter Tour & Submarine Adventure, a combination of Sunshine Helicopters' West Maui Deluxe Tour and the Atlantis Submarine's Odyssey Adventure where you'll be taken 100 feet below sea level.

With exciting tours like these and more, you'll be able to take in several sights and attractions of Maui and enjoy them in a variety of vehicles. View your favorite attractions from angles: in the air, on horseback, and below sea level. Bring your camera and capture snapshots that you'll be showing your friends and family for years to come.
