Whale Watching in Maui
You'll leave Lahaina for Maui with the cruise company, on a roomy, stable boat with an enclosed main cabin and upper observation deck that will allow you to experience dry, great views of the whales. The whale watching session will include a "whale cam," live underwater video equipment that is attached to the boat with monitors onboard that will allow you to have more views of the whales.
In addition, you'll enjoy the narration provided with the most recent available scientific information about humpback whales, and the professional crew and captains will be happy to answer any questions you might have and tell you about whale behavior that they have personally witnessed.
To remember your whale watching experience, purchase a souvenir from the onboard gift shop!
Also, while you're in Maui, you might want to consider another fun adventure, a helicopter sightseeing tour. With Sunshine Helicopters, you'll have the opportunity to choose from 3 different helicopters, 2 with open seating and 1 first class, as well as a variety of different tours.
On the approximate 30-minute West Maui Deluxe Tour, you'll soar over the West Maui Mountains and, if weather permits, you'll also see the "Wall of Tears" which has over 17 waterfalls flowing simultaneously, including Maui's tallest waterfall Honokohau Falls, which is over 1,000 feet tall! In addition, you'll enjoy great views of Launiupoko and Ukumehame valleys, and you'll see Old Lahaina Town and the resorts of Ka'anapali and Kapalua.
For a longer touring experience, choose the Hana/Haleakala Special Tour, a 40-50 minute adventure that will take you to Haleakala's crater, through the most remote areas of Maui to see Hana Town, the Seven Pools, coastline and waterfalls, and the well-known Ho'okipa windsurfing beach.
If you'd like your tour to consist of more than flying in a helicopter, consider taking a Maui combination tour.
On the Helicopter Tour & Paniolo Horeback Ride Combo, you'll begin your tour at the 1,000 foot level Mendes Range. You'll then get on your horse and ride through mountainsides, viewing the waterfalls of Waihee Valley. Then, you'll enjoy views from the sky, seeing the West Maui Mountains and waterfalls. And you'll also enjoy a cowboy BBQ lunch on this approximate 30-minute tour.
With activities like these, you'll constantly have something to enjoy while you're in Maui.
